If
you’ve ever witnessed the comedy act of up and coming female
comedian Cocoa Brown, you know funny when you see it. In just a
few short years, Cocoa Brown came on the comedy scene and she’s
been performing with a vengeance ever since. Within six months
of Cocoa Brown’s comedy career she was crowned DC’s Comedian of
the Year, beating out several seasoned professionals. Within 9 months,
Cocoa Brown won the spot to open the Def Comedy Jam Tour at the Warner
Theater. It was obvious to many in the DC comedy circle that
Cocoa Brown was playing for keeps. "It was the hunger, the need
to be one of the guys and be treated like an equal," says Cocoa
Brown. "I’ve always been a nut, but being on the stage
allows me to take it to another level." Cocoa
