James
"Lil JJ" Lewis is the little Prince of Comedy. Hidden behind the walls of Mitchell
Academy Elementary James Lewis (Lil’ JJ) was discovered by his P.E.
teacher who looked beyond his classroom anecdotes and saw something
great. Lil JJ was a class clown, but always had high
marks in school. He
credits his favorite actor Chris Tucker, favorite comedian: Rickey
Smiley, and favorite TV actor: Bernie Mac for his comic inspirations.
Now this “class clown”: was born and raised in Little Rock,
Arkansas and he is blowing up stages all around the country.
He got his start doing stand up comedy at Juanita’s Bar
and Grill in conjunction with the Mental Buffet, which was an open mic
poetry/comedy program. Lil JJ
was the grand prize winner of BET’s comedy competition TV show
“Coming to the Stage” hosted by Mark Curry and celebrity resident
judge Kim Coles. In addition, this young man stars in a new TV
sitcom with Ray Ramono called Men of a Certain Age on the TNT Network
and check him out in Janky Promoters starring Ice Cube and Mike Epps.
This young man really going places!
