WELCOME TO OUR AGENCY
Who Are We?
Cheryl Abbott founded Celebrity Artist Entertainment to provide greater exposure, marketing and professional management to culturally diverse celebrity musicians, comedians, social media influencers as well as underrepresented creatives.
CAE has become one of the most trusted and sought-after entertainment resources for unique and groundbreaking talent in this highly competitive market.
With offices in New York City and Los Angeles, CAE continues to achieve wonderful success in the entertainment industry.
CAE is involved in many areas of the industry, ranging from concert and tour production to content creation, public relations and social media.
Laugh Mobile
With a commitment to giving back to the community, CAE created the “Laugh Mobile,” a free outdoor traveling music and comedy concert.
The lack of quality live entertainment in financially distressed neighborhoods was an opportunity for CAE to use its expertise for a good cause. By collaborating with housing developments, community leaders, sponsors, and high profile entertainers, Laugh Mobile has made a tremendous impact in these communities.
WE LOVE OUR WORK
CAE is proud to represent
A-list celebrities in all areas of entertainment.
For over twenty-five years, CAE has remained one of the most trusted
and hardworking names in the entertainment industry.
YOUR EVENT TEAM
What do they do?
It’s easy to confuse who does what in the world of live shows. The work of promoters, booking agents, concert producers, and other behind-the-scenes players has plenty of overlap.
CAE is a full-service company, experienced enough to produce your entire event but wise enough to integrate with your team for successful collaborations.
We spend our day in constant communication with managers, promoters, theaters, clubs and artists, booking gigs six months to a year ahead.
We assemble regional, national and international concert tours, making sure our talent arrives to every event on time.
An event promoter handles every detail, from connecting the right act to the right venue, negotiating financially viable contracts while managing budgets to make a profit.
They oversee event transportation, ticket sales and makes sure the venue is ready to provide the right environment for your type of performance so there is a full house with an enthusiastic crowd.
Your manager spends the day making sure they set you up to succeed while they work with your agent and lawyer to keep all of your progress going. It’s your manager’s job to arrange all your travel, food, and lodging.
YOUR AGENT ROLES
How do they help?
The question we get here most often is, “Do I need an agent?” May we ask which one? As your career grows, you will need different representation for different things.
In most cases, as you start out, you will be represented by a single agency like CAE, with the same company covering each of your individual needs.
We want you to understand what type of representation you need and how we can make sure we accomplish your goals or lead you in the right direction.
A booking agent works with performers to book live shows. Booking agents work within the entertainment industry but have business-related roles. They may work with musicians, actors, comedians or anyone else who performs live shows.
These agents help you land acting roles and auditions for film and television projects.
They schedule and book auditions for their clients and negotiate contracts to secure favorable benefits, payments, and future projects. In Hollywood, it is necessary to have a talent agent to become a working actor in a TV show or film.
Commercial agents can help you get work in commercials and schedule these auditions for you as well as help negotiate your contracts with firms. Your exact method of payment is determined by the contract you sign before taking the job.
For example, if your agent gets you a prominent role in a commercial that is aired nationally on a regular basis, you not only receive your initial hourly payment but also royalties each time the commercial airs and that amount is usually greater than your initial payment.
Literary agents determine whether your manuscripts have substantial market potential and are ready to pitch to suitable book publishers, television and film producers. They will then negotiate contracts on your behalf and guide you through the publishing process.
